It's time once again for Mortgage Broker Coaching's Friday edition of Weekend Reads & Links.
Straight Talk About Mortgages & Real Estate - this site is written by Tom Vanderwell. He is a Dutchman, from my home state of Michigan, who writes, "A Mortgage Guy who wants the mortgage industry to be better, smarter and more educated - consumers and professionals both." Tom is a seasoned mortgage veteran, and his site is replete with useful market information, and comment.
The Mortgage Reports - this site, written by mortgage planner, Dan Green, is a well established site for great market content. Dan has appeared, numerous times on television/radio interviews, and is clearly one of the thought leaders for the industry. I recommend that you visit his site and poke around. It will raise the bar on your business.
Chris Garrett is a new media consultant from across the pond, in England. He has recently written an article on "Overcoming Your Own Constraints". It is well worth a read. The mortgage business is undergoing historic changes, and your mortgage practice must make changes. Your cheese has moved!
Shameless Commercial Plug
This website is not quite one month old. Just yesterday, I received an e-mail, from an Associated Press writer, in New York City, wanting to interview me regarding the mortgage industry. You want to know why that happened? This website is written on a blog platform and has many syndication's to help people find me.
It is highly likely that your website is old technology, and sits behind a wall where clients can't find you!
Most mortgage brokers today, have a canned website that does them absolutely no good in the search engines. Think about it. This website is one month old, and already I have reporters calling me for interviews? Would you like that? Would that bring credibility to your business?
I can help you with that! We have a Blog Module designed to help you build and maintain a Web 2.0 presence, that will actually help new clients find you, AND help you build deeper relationships with your clients.
Send me an e-mail to learn more.
